Advanced Course System
Advanced courses are two-year academic programs established to teach specialized knowledge and skills at an advanced level beyond the five-year regular curriculum taught at colleges of technology, and foster the development of capable individuals proficient in performing creative research and development and in cutting-edge technology. Upon completion of an advanced course, graduates are reviewed by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation and may be eligible for a bachelor’s degree equivalent to that of a university graduate.

Advanced Courses at TNCT
These courses aim to teach more in-depth, advanced specialized knowledge and skills as based on the syllabus taught during the five-year regular courses at colleges of technology, and to foster the development of practical and creative technicians who will be able to achieve even greater successes and contribute both in society and the industrial sector. There are two advanced course programs at TNCT, the Electronics and Production Systems Course and the Environmental Systems Course. The structure of each course is as follows:

Integrated Curriculum Courses
Electronics and Production Systems Course
The educational objectives of this course are to foster the development of technicians who possess the knowledge and pragmatism to enhance their interdisciplinary abilities in machine technology, electronic technology and computer technology, and apply these abilities to robotics design in the production and welfare sectors, designs for the modernization of production systems, and designs for circuits, networks and others. These are achieved through instruction and research in a variety of fields including production, design, energy, circuits, and control information, and applies each department’s specialized area as mastered through five years of education at a college of technology. As a general rule, the course is mainly provided for students who have graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Environmental Systems Course
The educational objectives of this course are to foster the development of technicians who will carry out construction and design of environmental systems through application of new materials and biotechnology, take into consideration influences that chemical materials have on the environment and living organisms, and seek the coexistence and harmonization of nature with mankind and a sustained society. These are achieved through instruction and research in fields related to natural and other materials as well as biotechnology and social infrastructure, and applies each department’s specialized area as mastered through five years of education at a college of technology.
