The men's dormitory at Tomakomai College is named "Somei-ryo", and the women's dormitory is named as "Fuka-ryo."
“Somei” means “the infinite universe,” and “Fuka” means “treasuring harmony among people under the beautiful nature of autumn leaves.”

The college dormitories are not only places to sleep and eat, but also where students can cooperate and gain independence through communal living and develop a strong will and abundant social skills.
Somei-ryo is comprised of four buildings, and houses approx. 230 male students. In the men's dormitory, two or three students live together in one room (some higher grade students live alone), and study and participate in club activities.
Approx. 70 female students live at Fuka-ryo. In the women's dormitory, two freshman students live in one room, and older students live in a private room. At the same time, students also enjoy communal living using the multi-purpose hall. Security cameras, finger vein authentication systems, room emergency buzzers, and other security systems are installed to ensure safety.

All 4th year and 5th year students are guidance leaders and play a central role in dormitory association activities and watching over younger dormitory students. Five faculty members are placed in charge of the dormitories, along with three administrative staff members and three women's dorm house mothers, for a total of eleven people to manage the two dormitories and supervise the dorm students. In addition, a teacher and a guard are on duty at night and during holidays.
